About the Author

Niamo Nancy Muid brings a wealth of understanding to readers of her books and her holistic health allies. From land exploration in Tobago to nonprofit fund-raising in NY and NJ, Niamo draws from wide experiences in the worlds of leadership development, self-help and group empowerment.pic of niamo 3

Her work experience as a  magazine editor and her training as a Certified Life Coach, Law of Attraction Coach, Usui Reiki Master Teacher, clinical aromatherapist, minister and Master of Science in Urban Planning has brought her to a deep awareness of what holds people back from loving living–and what to do about it.

Her years working with corporate leaders, video producers and educational programs have sharpened her insight and given her a passion for rousing the attention of audiences, as well as holding a sacred space for one-on-one sessions and mentees.

Niamo Nancy loves to inspire others with her energy, enthusiasm and expertise. The New Yorker
now lives in New Jersey and is a member of the Facilitator Body of the International Black Summit, a conversation of empowerment for participants.

She is an African Medicine Woman in the tradition of Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai and a Sacred Scribe in the tradition of Toni Cade Bambara.  She is a national distributor for Young Living Essential Oils with team members located in ten states. She has written a booklet, Removing Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome Using Essential Oils, with HealMobile Team Member Shakira Abdul-Ali. pic of Niamo2  Niamo’s newest book, Nine Principles for Loving Living, is a follow up to her first, The Spiritual Warrior’s Guide to A Proven Islam. This book won an award for best writing in 2003.

She is proud of the Muslim Women’s Roundtable collective of women she helped organize in 1999, which crafted and sent a message of  African American solidarity and spiritual independence to the World Conference against Racism held in Durban in 2001.

She calls herself a Submitter to God Alone (Arabic, muslim), is a minister with the Universal Life Church, and serves as an ordained minister-practitioner with a holistic health directive from LightWing Center of the LifeSpring Congregation in Denville, N.J.

Her goal is to help people shift themselves from physical complaint and aggressive behavior towards making the choice to produce satisfaction and feelings of certainty in their lives.
